Winter time is a fun time around the Rocky Mountain Lodge. You can cozy up to a warm fire in the wood stove, grab a good book and relax or there are several outdoor activities that you can enjoy. Grand Lake is quoted as the "snow mobile capital of Colorado." There are over 300 miles of groomed trails to explore. You can access the trails through the Arapaho National Forest a few blocks away. Just walk out the door, hop on your snowmobile and be there in a few minutes. If snow skiing is more your style, you can ski at Winter Park or Sol Vista, a short distance away. Other fun activities include cross country skiing, snow boarding, snow shoeing, sledding, sleigh rides, as well as ice fishing and hunting. There are rental places in Grand Lake to rent snowmobiles or any other equipment you might need. For those who like winter activities, Rocky Mountain Lodge is a great place to be.
